Painted Biography
Ora Ruven
On my living room wall hang small paintings—oil on canvas portraits of my seven grandchildren. Just as my living room became a dance floor in the work "DJ Mr. Death", this wall is the arena of the stream of life.
This page is an expanded mirror image of my living room wall. The photograph of the wall is the anchor—this is where I bring the stream of life. Below it, I chose to add more and more portraits of family members I have painted along the way over the years—a continuous sequence of oil works on canvas.
This is my painted biography.
